The Simple Goodness Martini

March 25, 2021

The Martini is a go-to recipe that is open to adaptation and variation.

It's flexible, it's fun. It's easy to drink and it's known as a crow pleaser. From the Lemon Drop to the Cosmopolitan, martinis have been invented for every flavor profile under the sun.

Still, we think the Simple Goodness Sisters Martini stands alone. It's special...

The Simple Goodness Sisters Martini cocktail brings a base spirit, usually vodka, fresh citrus juice, and any of our Simple Goodness Sisters syrups into one glass. It should be served very, very cold, and we do recommend adding one of our very gorgeous floral sugars to your martini glass rim. If you're feeling extra creative and adventurous, try pairing two of the syrups together:

  • Lemon Herb + Fresh Lemon Juice = Herbaceous Lemon Drop
  • Blueberry Lavender + Berry Sage + Lemon Juice = Mixed Berry & Herbs
  • Blueberry Lavender + Rhubarb Vanilla + Lime Juice = Sweet Tart
  • Rhubarb Vanilla + Berry Sage + Lemon Juice = Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
  • Marionberry Mint + Lime Basil + fresh lime juice = Summer Sweetness
  • Rhubarb Vanilla + Fresh Orange Juice = Creamsicle
  • Lemon Herb + Fresh Grapefruit Juice =
  • Blueberry Lavender + Lemon Herb + Lemon Juice = Blueberry - Lemon Tart

The Simple Goodness Martini

Makes 1

Glass: martini glass

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces vodka (you can also use a flavored vodka like a citrus vodka or lavender vodka, but may need to adjust the syrup if it gets too sweet)
  • ¾ ounce Simple Goodness Sisters syrup in any flavor, see suggestions above
  • ¼ ounce fresh squeezed citrus juice, optional
  • Simple Goodness Sisters floral sugar for rim
  • 1 cup of ice

Prepare a martini glass by rimming the glass with lavender sugar. Run a slice of a lemon along the rim of the glass. Pour a small amount of floral sugar onto a plate and gently roll the glass rim in the sugar to coat. Into a cocktail shaker, pour the Simple Goodness Sisters syrup, ¼ ounce of fresh squeezed lemon juice, and 2 ounces of vodka. Add ice to the cocktail shaker, cap, and shake just until the outside of the tins is cold. Strain into the rimmed martini glass.
