I have never been more exited to share a blog post. Building our Happy Camper Cocktail Co. mobile bar been a true labor of love, with blood, sweat and tears fueling us along the way and we are finally road ready and headed to our first event, Enumclaw’s Farm and Frills Antiques and Junkers market.     Seed selection, garden planning and raised bed research occupied my mind this Spring. With the arrival this week of the Baker Creek seed catalog in the mail, this fervor has been re-awakened. I am already excited for the work to come in Spring.   • Chelan Succulent Garden Surprise

    As we always do when visiting Chelan, for Kate’s 14th birthday weekend, we stopped by the Lone Pine Fruit and Espresso. Just outside their front door we came across a new surprise. I swear this place just keeps getting better. They already had fresh veggies, chai tea lattes, home baked pies, local wine and ciders, and my heart… now they have partnered with Buffalo Plants of Chelan and have a succulent and cactus nursery/store on premise, too!   • Galentine’s Day Recipes: Potato Leek Soup adapted from Julia Child’s Potage Parmentier

    I promised to post the recipes from the Galentine’s Day party last week because this soup and the cookies I served were both big hits. The original Julia Child recipe is from the Art of French Cooking and calls it Potage Parmentier, so if you’re serving it for a party I suggest going with that title and impressing les pantalons off of everyone.
