• Talking Simple Goodness with Seattle Kitchen’s Tom Douglas, Katie O., and Thierry Rauturneau

The Simple Goodness Sisters got our first brush with celebrity this week, when interviewed by famous and widely acclaimed (James Beard award winners!) Seattle chefs Tom Douglas and Thierry Rauturneau. We were not nervous one tiny bit, and if you believe that, Venise will sell you some ocean front property in Arizona next. • How Henry eats his veggies: one picky 1 year old’s menu

It drives me crazy that my child won’t eat a balanced diet. Let’s just start there. In theory I know that kids are often picky, heck I was, though that was mostly my sister’s fault. I copied everything Venise did and she remains to this day a particular eater. In practice, Henry’s picky eating aggravates me to no end. I take food really seriously, always have. So this week while Troy was watching the Discovery channel’s  Moonshiners, I set to work making some moonshine of my own. As part of my annual goal to bring as much handcrafted goodness to the Christmas season,…
