Kate’s Video Blog: 4H Public Presentation on Labor Signs

I just did my demo for 4-H last night. The topic was “Signs of Labor in Goats”. A demo is a speech were you teach something and you have visual aids and they are judged. You can bring them to county fair and you normally qualify for state so I’m going to do that because my judge said it was outstanding just make the letters on my poster much bigger. I’m excited! Plus, you get extra premium points for doing your public presentation at state fair. A premium is prize money you get after fair for educating the public and showing well. A video of my presentation is below. You have to pay to get in the shows so you’re not making money but you do get some back so it’s cool.

I’m pumped for the Chehalis Spring Youth fair the first weekend of May to show Sade and Dozer. This will be Sade’s first fair and Dozer’s third.

The "garden" behind the garden to glass cocktails, Venise is the resident farmer of the Simple Goodness Farm, older sister and goat lover.

A terrific job, Kate! You explain things so well and I love how you use the correct terminology….just like a pro! I can see why the judge gave your demo high marks. Cheri

I just do that so I get extra points and because Mom, Venise and Ross try to make me say even grosser words, so I try to make it the least icky.
